Pat Hawrot (D)

Patricia Hawrot was sworn in as Clerk-Treasurer on January 1, 2008. Pat has been a Dyer resident for thirty-four years. She had 20 years of town experience before being elected Clerk-Treasurer after Thoma Hoffman's retirement. Pat also served as a Deputy Clerk for Maryann Brown before Tom. She has earned her Indiana Accredited Municipal Clerk designation with the Indiana League of Municipal Clerks & Treasurers and her Certified Municipal Clerk Designation with the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. She is also working towards her Master Municipal Clerk Certification. Pat is a member of the International League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers, The Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers and the Association of Public Treasurers and the Dyer Lady Lions Club. She has been married to her husband, Dennis, for 39 years and has three children, Dennis, Dawn and Deanna and three grandchildren, Devin and Addison Hawrot and Aiden Morris. The Clerk's office duties are as follows: Accounts Payable and Receivable, Municipal Accounting, Utility Accounting for 3 Utilities, Human Resources, Town Payroll, Customer Service, Issuing Licenses and Permits, Meeting Minutes and Record Keeping.
